Welcome to Zap Cooking. By accessing or using our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

Zap Cooking is a recipe and food community platform built on the Nostr protocol. The Service enables users to discover, share, and interact with recipes and food-related content using decentralized technology.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. User Content

You are responsible for any content you publish through the Service, including recipes, comments, images, and profile information. Content published via the Nostr protocol may be publicly accessible and may persist on third-party relays beyond Zap Cooking's control.

You retain ownership of your content. By publishing content through the Service, you grant Zap Cooking a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Service.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • publish content that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, obscene, or harmful
  • infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of any third party
  • distribute spam, malware, or other disruptive content
  • interfere with the operation, security, or performance of the Service
  • impersonate any person or entity

5. Sponsored Content and Promotional Placements

Zap Cooking may offer sponsored placements, paid partnerships, boosted recipes, and other promotional features within the Service. These features are governed by the Sponsor Terms and the Sponsorship Disclosure.

Zap Cooking reserves the right to review, reject, relabel, edit, suspend, or remove sponsored placements, boosted content, or promotional materials at any time to protect platform integrity, legal compliance, technical performance, disclosure standards, and community trust.

These actions may be taken through Zap Cooking's official accounts, authorized operators, administrative systems, or other platform controls.

6. Payments

Certain features of the Service, including memberships, recipe boosts, and sponsorships, may require payment via Lightning or other supported payment methods.

Payment terms, refund policies, and pricing for specific features are described on the relevant product pages and in applicable terms such as the Sponsor Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Zap Cooking name, logo, design, and software are the property of Zap Cooking or its licensors. The Service software is released under the MIT License.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Zap Cooking does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Zap Cooking is not responsible for content published by users or third parties on decentralized relays.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zap Cooking will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

Zap Cooking may update these Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
